washing machine help.which one?

Options
I had decided which one i wanted but the prices have changed since i had it saved in my Favourites.

I have narrowed it down to 3 and my first choice was the WMUD942, but then it went up in cost :S

I have a 7kg washer at the mo which is fine..but our family consists of two adults and 6 children. The children are all towards the end of primary school age, secondary school age and one 6 year old.(only two rough n tumble boys :P)

It needs to be a good sturdy machine,it will do about 5 loads a week. So one that is cheap to run is important.

I am going for stainless steel, we have just moved and just for once I would love to have everything match..I know I could get cheaper if I went for white but its a little 'luxury' (?!!) for me.

7kg is an OK size as we.....I...use that now. How much bigger in reality is 8kg or 9kg?

I'm struggling finding reviews. So i would be most appreciative if anyone wants to spend 5 minutes to give me their expert opinions.

Thanks all :)

I think if you're going to use it virtually every day you will need something reliable and as I had never seen Fagor before that link I'd suggest trying to find more info on all of them by Googling and using comparison websites. The other thing you can do is look up buying guides (on department store websites for example) to help you decide which load size, spin rpm and programmes you need.

A bigger load size needs a bigger rpm to get the load spun. No good if it's big load and below average rpm. The energy rating may help the planet a tad but more importantly, the less power it uses the more money you save. So if you wash virtually every day and use 7kg do you really need 9kg ? It will take longer to do the (larger) wash. It might be more economical for you to do smaller faster loads - you'd have to work it out on your tariff.

If you have a cheap night electricity tariff then a WM with a timer would be good so you don't have to get up in the middle of the night !

The best way to get reviews is to get a one month trial for a £1 with Which!! Just remember to cancel before the month's up because the subscription is quite expensive.
