Council tax rebanding

Morning all,

Just been round to see my nan and she said there had been a bloke at her door claiming he can lower her council tax banding.

Been suspicious type she fobbed him off and rang me as she does when things like this happen.

I remembered seeing something on this site about lowering it so i've been on and noticed a lot of her neighbours in identical houses are in lower bands. Instead of paying this bloke the 35% he was looking for I said I will look into it for her.

I was just wondering what in need to put in the letter to the VOA, is there any templates kicking about? If not what information do i need to put in the letter?

I did this for a flat i was in a couple of years back, i found out that neighbouring flats and flats across the road which had more bedrooms etc than mine were a band lower than mine so i got in touch with VOA explaining this and within a month my Band was lowered to the same of those around me.
It really is just basic information on why it should be changed that they need.
