I had a very frightening email from Bank Smart and I dont know what to do!!
I have been sending loads of paperwork including bank statements, to an address which they gave me based in Truro, Cornwall.
I received an email from them this morning and I am scared; they are claiming NEVER to have received any paperwork from me and that the signature on the recorded slips does not match any member of their staff!!
What do I do as I was sending the paperwork to the correct address!!
Do I go to the Police over this as this was the address Bank Smart gave me to send documents too!!
A very frightened and worried person!!

Ok, can I ask why we're you sending all this through and how did they give the address, is it the correct addresses
Personally I'd take this up with royal mail0 -
I was not sure if I should start a new thread or not but just today I got a letter from this company concerning a mortgage /loan I took out in 2006 for £150000 which was paid back very quickly and which they say probably had PPI on it. How do these companies obtain this information about loans we have taken out and should they reallybe able to look into our private affairs? Is there an easy way for me to find out if PPI was put on this loan?0

I got the same this morning. Bank Smart told me that they had been asked to write to me regarding a loan application for £25000 that i made a few years ago, and that it is likely that it included PPI in the region of £8250.
Now..to be honest, I can't remember whether i took out a loan or not. I went through a period where i took out a few loans (closed out now) and i can't find the paperwork. How do they know all this?
I was going to ring them and ask them to give me more details, as otherwise I can't do anything anyway.
Are these guys legit? How much do they charge? Their website looks a bit cheap and tacky.
