    Hi all!

    Well today i have:
    -Checked online banking
-Transferred all extra cash over to my new basic account
-Started sorting envelopes to pop afore mentioned 'extra cash' into entitled 'spending' 'shopping' and 'petrol' as per the thread a bit lower down the forum (at time of typing ;)).

Not a great deal but still a step in the right direction.......going to treat meself to a bottle of baileys later (ie, have a little and keep the rest for another day!) just as a reward to myself for being rather proactive these past couple of weeks. Just waiting for my CCCS confirmation that all is set up and ready to go.

    Hi all

Well I have achieved the heady heights of 20 items currently listed on EBay..a right motley collection of items I can tell you but hopefully it will all sell for something even if its not much. The postage was a headache and involved loads of guesswork..but as long as overall I don't lose out it doesnt matter I guess. I suspect the seasoned EBayers amongst you know all this very well but as a infrequent lister I rarely know and have to guess!! Its all on signed for delivery though - I can't bear the stress of wondering if the buyer has received it or not!

And... we fully decluttered one room - DD2s...she is made up. Really happy which is lovely.will it stay like that...unlikely!

We haven't spent a thing today. Another NSD...although it doesn't count as a proper one as am going out this eve. Saw its a 3 course meal for £11 so am tempted to just join in....OH is saying for me to and as we're so under our new grocery budget I probably can as long as I don't go mad in AL7I tomorrow!!!

    Have a good eve peeps

    Hello

What a busy few days! DD still off school... all teachers of 7 year olds have my utmost respect! :rotfl:

    Today has been:
    • NO washing!! laundry basket almost empty... first time for everything:eek:
    • walked everywhere to avoid using petrol, running on fumes at the moment:o
    • All meals from stores, home made chips to avoid going to the chippie
    • check online banking, move money around to "save pots"
    • confirmation that DMP starts 10th march. GULP. major budget planning this evening!
    • Surveys, claimed £15 voucher from toluna... avoiding toluna surveys for a while they keep pinching my points and I'm at risk of throwing my laptop
    • heating turned off, everyone in thermals and woolies!
    • Do some of DS jumper, almost finished the front just 4 more rows... not that the baby is giving me a second of knitting time atm.
    • I'm hoping to go to the gym this evening so will shower/hair wash/dry there to save gas.
    • LSD bought DS ribena BOGOF at the co-op, only thing he will drink :(
    • ordered ink cartridges trying the epson compatable ones to see if they are any good. £4.99 instead of £44 for the real ones.
    Happy birthday Pixie!

    Evening All

yesterdays headache lingered today, went to work but as quite this afternoon my head told me go home this afternoon, after a nap under a blanket on the sofa feeling much better, but have a very very itchy eye!

    today;
    - check chickens and collect eggs - 3 today!
    - dropped of bag of bird seed from Costco..much cheaper to buy in bulk and keeping the little birdies happy is definately a good thing!
    - dinner from stores, allotment veg from the freezer
    - phone charged in the car
    - no heating - waiting for the OH to come home and put the fire on (with free wood)
    - have arranged to do some tutoring very early in the morning tomorrow - that will be petrol money, I will put it in the car straight away
    - not quite a NSD...bought bread from the bakery

    thats all for today folk!

    :-)
been away for a while..need to get on financial track!
 debts.....Post Grad Student Loan, Northern Rock Loan, Egg CC, Halifax CC, A&L CC, A&L overdraft

Mon1o im terrible with cash if I keep it in the house so my online pots are the way forwards for me.... I am working out my budget as we speak and although I have enough money to pay everything I get paid weekly so have a bit of a cashflow problem, My freezer and cupboards are fit for bursting so DH has agreed to my own grocery challenge to spend £175 not a penny more between now and april 10th. The extra grocery allowance will stay as a buffer in my account!

sounds good to me!! im the opposite cash in the house means i can see what im spending half the problem for me is i didnt use cash before, i just popped most things on the debit card/wrote a cheque so never kept track of where money was going and ended up relying on the credit! Still, thats in the past now. time for new habits to form!
  • A very late hello to everyone. I can't believe that this week is over already... it's been so hectic that I've barely had time to think.
Unfortunately not thinking, means not planning and I'm falling behind on things, but I'm determined to draw a line under it and get on as usual tomorrow morning.
Things I have done today -
    checked bank
    vsp
    meals all from stores
    washing done and on airer
    checked surveys

Over the weekend I must make time for
    flylady
    schoolwork
