I understand that it is Capquest that you are dealing with and not Natwest directly?
If you know your account numbers it might be worthwhile giving Natwest a call, saying very little and just asking when the last payment was made to the account. Chances are the customer service advisor won't know the first thing about SB and tell you - if it's over 6 years, send the letter.
Even if you fail to get the information you won't reset the clock, because you have to actually acknowledge the debt in writing so a phone call won't make any difference.
At least then you'll know for definate...0 -
good idea. im tempted but at this late stage "default aug 06" and no contact for over a month, i dont want to jog anything just incase.
pretty sure if the default was aug 06 then my last contact with them had to be longer than 2 months before the account defaulted, but i shall wait....0 -
just recieved another letter, significantly less threatening. basically a "lets resolve this together", "we can offer you a heafty reduction in the payment if you contact us" "the debt wont go away" ect etc etc...
seems like maybe they think/know i know/think its SB....0
