Hi,
I have a long cream wool coat that requires dry cleaning, can someone tell me what sort of price I should be paying (never done it before). At my office they take them for about £2 and return them in a couple of days, but is that price too low to expect a good service?
Thanks

I've had my coat drycleaned on an express (next day) service for £7 and that was in London. Its a local firm and trusted by many of the locals they have been going for years. I was happy with the results and did feel my coat was cleaned.
I have just put in another coat to have the lining done, everywhere else quoted me £80 through to £150!! I have been quoted £30 and it'll be ready inside a week. I am more then happy with that and am hoping it turns out OK!
I would say for £2 go for it and if you don't feel they did a good job or did anything at all, ask for a refund. If you don't think you will be able to tell...I'd say don't bother getting it drycleaned! Hang it inside a suit bag with some fragrance oil soaked into cotton and wrapped in a cloth for fragrance or just spriz with febreeze. I'd only get my coat cleaned if I knew it looked or felt dirty.0 -

£2 does seem very cheap, has anyone else used the £2 service? What did they think? I paid about £9 last time to have a cream wool coat cleaned (small town centre private business), but I with cream, I prefer to get it done sooner rather than later to try and keep it pristine. Are there any places that do 3 for 2 deals, where you could get together with friends/family to combine?0 -
I recently paid £4 to get a cardigan dry-cleaned. £2 to clean a coat sounds very cheap!0
