Anybody had cosmetic surgery?

Hi all,

Just out of pure interest, has anybody had cosmetic surgery privately?
May I ask which service you used and what your opinion was with your treatment?

About 18 mths ago, a friend of mine had cosmetic surgery on her ears.  Sorry, can't remember who she used.  

Anyway, since she was a little girl she never liked her ears and thought they were pointed on the top, like Dr Spook.  
They really bothered her, she wouldn't go swimming with the kids, cos they would poke out of her hair.  She took a brolly with her, everywhere!
Wouldn't have her hair cut short, although she would have prefered it that way.  
She spent a fortune on hairspray, 2 1/2 cans per week, she was so paranoid that anyone would see the offending ears.  It's always been a joke that we could have gale force winds and her hair wouldn't budge!
She finally plucked up courage to get them'fixed' (after bottling it the first time) went through absolute agony, she isn't a wimp by anymeans but said had she known how much pain would be involved, she'd never have put herself through it.  
It cost her an absolute bomb and she's still no further forward.  The surgeon re-shaped the top of her ears to make them more 'rounded' and pinned them back slightly.  
She absolutely hates them even more than before the surgery, and I have to admit ( I was one of the priviledged who saw the end result!) they do look odd.  Her ears have been pinned back that far, they are flat on her head and it's obvious peoples perception of 'rounded' can be so different.

She now says, 'Isn't hindsight great'
A life times dream fullfilled and nothing has changed!

An Aunt of mine had her nose re-shaped, way back in the 70's.Not for medical reasons - just big noses run in our family! (True !!)

She thought it was worthwhile, although, nobody else could see the difference.

Got several girlfriends had boob jobs, more recently, though.

2 wished they'd gone bigger, so actually went back for a second op!! They used the same surgeon & are more than happy with the results!!

It seems that quite a few girls, do choose to go bigger than they initally wanted - often on the day of the op!!

& another friend chose to go to Eastern Europe for her uplift - not enhancement, to save a few £$£$£. Potentially risky, if there were complications, I'd say.

But as I'm perfect, guess I'll not need anything doing!!

There are lots of forums about cosmetic surgery in the UK, just put it into google and you will find the sites. Not sure what sort of information you are looking for.

you really want to be watching SKY 1 at 11pm for the next few days/weeks as they are showing some cosmetic surgery stuff live and all the pros & cons....

very sad if you ask me....

Yes its glamourised for tv, only just adds to how sad society is these days witht the fact they air it too....
