Dealing with a default

Options
I just looked at my credit record and seen a t-mobile default of £100 from april 2008, which I no was silly but I was wonder the best way to deal with this.

I can easily pay £100 right now but I was wondering how that affects my record? because in 2 years it will disappear from my file wont it? If I pay today will it start at 6 years again from now? or will it show settled and disappear?

The default and all detail of the debt will be removed in 2 years whether you pay it or not.

If you do pay it it will not remove it, but it would be marked as settled until it comes off in 2 years.

A settled default could look marginally better while it remains, depending on the lender.
