Good Value English TV Package in Spain

Hi
I have as holiday home in Spain and up to now I have managed to go without having tele installed but I am about to give in and have a package fitted.
Does anyone know of any good value companies. I know you have to pay a one off fitting fee and a monthly fee like Sky etc but to know who to go to would be great.
Thanks

Take a read over https://www.satellites.co.uk
It is illegal however to pay and receive Sky outside of the UK.
Lots of people do it (inc Spanish bars) and there are companies that will assist you for a fee or you will need a friend in the UK to have as an address on your account.
The BBC channels are free on Astra 28.2 satellites as is Sky News and others.
You'll need a bigger dish than a UK minidish as the satellite beams are pointing to the UK.
The footprint is detailed at http://www.ses-astra.com/
Channels can be found at https://www.lyngsat.com.

We have a package for English TV and radio chanels from Cina Electronica S.L. It is a micro wave system. We used to have Sky, but they moved the satelite to stop unauthorised viewing. I don't know if Cina cover the area you are in as you haven't said the location. Our house is in the Costa Blanca. The basis of charging is an installation charge and then a monthly fee with a minimum agreement of 12 months. There is another advantage with the system in that you don't have a massive receiver dish, just a small 12 inch square mesh receiver.
If your in the Costa Blanca, Calida, area perhaps the following will help https://www.costablanca-news.comEJS0 -

My husband flew out last weekend to get our television sorted (villamartin area), all Spain now receive digital there is no analogue viewing, when he was over there end of January he was told it would cost around 160 € + 15 € per month which we thought was fine, goes out to get it fixed up last weekend to find they had it wrong, if you are a new customer you have to pay 460 € to get it installed then the 15 € per month a big difference from the previous price, my husbands told them to forget it, but was told this is what they all charge, they have all had there heads together and decided to all stick to this price so the customers have to pay it, so far he’s right, we have been ringing loads of company’s from out the Costa Blanca news and yes they are all the same price, it’s only 160 € if you were a existing customer, he was talking to a guy who owns a B & B he wanted sky installed in every one of his 20 bedrooms, was quoted 9000 €
Was contemplating taking over a sky box and freeview box to see if they would work, there has to be another way to receive sky without the hefty price they want to charge, also might be worth looking on the chat forum of Torrevieja.co.uk message board, or Torrevieja.com forum towards the bottom of the page, then access, takes you to the message board
I would also post this on the Travel board
Good Luck

We can confirm the prices quoted by 'chappy' as we paid 160 Euros to upgrade and 15 per month. You get a lot of channels. You will probably find the price quoted for new installations is controlled by Cina Electronic S.L. or other main providers.
Our Spanish home is in Los Altos, just outside Torrevieja. As you know the area, the transmitter is at Los Montesinos so receiption shouldn't be a problem for you.
If you want to confirm prices the following telephone numbers might be of help:
Cina Electronica S.L. - 0034 609 626 995 or 0034 620 360 949
Alexi BMG (our installer) - 0034 659 430 869
Hope this helps
ps. 'chappy' where do I find the euro symbol you used on my computerEJS0 -

will our freeview boxes pick up anything out there???
we already have sky on the Costa del Sol, but it would be nice to get rid of our massive dish0 -
Hubby is going to take over sky box and freeview box to try, also there is a decoder from Germany that won't require a card and some one has told him they work in Spain you just have to adjust the mesh dish to pick up the English channels, will have to wait and see
As for euro symbol
Open Microsoft word type out your text, when you come to insert symbol do the following then copy text to reply post

I used to live in Italy and once decided to take a refurbished box over and see if I could get English free channels there.Well unbelievable or what.I found a guy who said he would install the dish at about 450€ and when I asked if he knew what he was doing he said he had set up at least 20 of them already in my area and he offered a warranty of about 3 years.I used to live in an area where a lot of British people live.Anyway I managed to watch all channels except Grampian. That is until last year .Now my family who is still over there can only watch channel five.I wanted to take a freeview box over but I am not sure you can watch channels through it .I have to say we have a 1.5 metre diameter dish over there .It's massivehalf scottish half italian :100%moneysaver0
