Up your income home based business

Hello,
I wondered if anyone ever had any success upping your income through their own little home business? I don't mean a 'proper' business, more as a way to supplement income. I'm hoping to find some inspiration to make me believe it is possible to earn a reasonable amount flexibly from home.
I wouldn't want to be a self-employed sales person/promote products or anything though, more something I could create and develop personally for a (hopefully) better prospect of reasonable income.
I'm just looking into ideas at the moment, I'm thinking a very low cost set up/enterprises. I once came across an American site which promoted the idea of a $100 dollar business which I thought was a great idea. So, I'm thinking £100 up your income 'business'.
One thing that's been stopping me is I'd really like someone to work with. I love working from home but I'd really like someone to work with in future as it can get a bit much just working on your own all of the time. Not a full blown business partner with financial connections or anything, more of a business associate maybe where we work together on things. Unfortunately I don't know anyone suitable, I've looked online but I have struggled. Does anyone happen to know any sites/places you might look to find someone to work with...if such a thing exists?
I keep thinking there must be loads of people who want to start something small from home. Maybe they all want to work on their own, but I'd have thought there must be some among them who'd like to work together with someone (in whatever capacity). Where to find them is a whole other challenge though?
Any advice/help would be amazing. Thanks.

If you are just wanting human contact etc then there are business clubs/ networks etc that do weekly or monthly meetings which normally involve a bit of networking, a talk on a topic from an expert or senior member etc.
Whilst some go and see it as a pure sales opportunity for their products/ services I have heard some give very positive feedback from having the opportunity to bounce ideas of others in a non-competitive environment.0 -
I'm not big on the networking in truth. Spent quite a while going to that sort of thing (when I had a job) and it's just not up my street really, but yes I can see it would be good for someone looking for contact/to connect in that way.
No, it's really someone to work with. I've always thought I'd work well in a partnership/association of some sort. I'm good at getting things done, but I just don't enjoy working solely on my own all of the time. Whilst it's fine for now, I'd like to take steps to change it and find someone to work with in a way that could be mutually beneficial.0
