Hi all
Mortgage is due up in September and at present we have an interest only. Middle of the road, GMAC. We want to go repayment this year and paying the extra is fine. Things has changed for us on other elements. I am currently stay at home mum just having had my 3rd baby but also my husband will be going self employed within the next couple of months. This is the only way forward as the company he currently works for is laying guys off.
So the big question is:
Who will take us on with our situation. The property is worth £215,000.00 we got a mortgage for £130,00.00 and plus a little bit of debt but we are paying.
My husband is so excited going self employed as we have both wanted this for so long but don't want to stay with a company just because we will get turned down when our mortgage deal is up. When we had this deal nearly 2 years ago we did then go self cert. Would we have to do this again. Although I am now on benefits.
I have tried getting intouch with our f.a. today but he is away on holiday for the next 10 days and could really do with information.
Any advice would be great.

Hi raq there are a couple of lenders who you can remortgage to with 1 days self employment. Off the top of my head I think it is Prefferd or maybe Platform but I would need to check. Whoever you go with the rate may not be to hot as you will have no books but it is possible. What kind of work does your husband do?0

Thanks for the info. Sort of makes me feel a little better knowing someone out there will take us on but of course at a price, but what price? Never heard of these two companies . Any further help would be great, thankyou.
