Just popped in to Sainsbury's and picked a bottle of Taste the Difference Mulled Wine (750ml) at £2.25 reduced from £6.49:D

Mulled wine is brilliant as a marinade, especially for beef, but will work with anything, I suspect. I discovered this when someone gave me a bottle...

Thanks, I may get some more then , too sweet for me to drink but stuck half a bottle in my sausage casserole on Monday!!

It's also great for a summer punch drink - mix a bottle of the mulled wine with a carton of orange juice, slice up an orange or a lemon and chuck that in, a few ice cubes and you're all set! On second thoughts, why wait for summer???
