Options
Well, we've had advice from both of the above lovely charaties over the past few days. Thye've both been so helpful.

I just wanted to know, from your own personal experiences, how you have found the above people.

It doesnt fuss me who we go with but I just wanted an independent opinion as I hadnt come across either of the above until 5 days ago!

Thanks

Your debts. Your plan. Your decision.

    They're both good.

Yep, I'd agree with this. Unless people have been with one and changed to another, they're just going to vote for the people they're with.

    In our case - CCCS
Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

    Oct 2012 = Current debt: £40,548.93
    Oct 2013 = Current debt: £39.054.70

  • I've been on a DMP since November 2011 with Payplan with no problems whatsoever. Very patient, understanding and have always given an excellent service.

    Agree.

I only chose CCCS as Payplan tried to hard sell me other stuff which put me off.

    It's your decision.

From other people's experiences that I've heard, thats exactly the reason I won't recommend payplan.

  • We were with CCCS... no real issues except the payment date just didnt suit us (trivial maybe ) in the 19 mths we were with them apart from that everything was ok.

We're now with payplan, suits us better because we can pay weekly (we just find it easy to budget) although you can choose your own payment date. They did ask if we wanted to take out their payment cover or whatever its called and ask when our insurance are up for renewal to get quotes with them but i just said no i liked to do it myself and didnt want the cover (i'd rather than money went off the debts) and they were fine with that.

So in my experiance there isnt much in it . Payplan allow more for shopping etc than CCCS, but the CCCS allow more for other things so its swings and roundabouts. Payplan do seem quicker at responding to any queries though.

    Payplan for me :j

Now 74 months into an 84 month plan with no problems,

If they tried to hard sell me anything I just ignored them !.

I like the fact that I can do everything with my plan online.

    Debt-free and Proud!
I went with CCCS but in fairness that was because I wasn't using this forum at the time and they were the first people I came across when I was in a blind panic at realising how much debt I was actually in. I have just sent off my DMP paperwork and will be able to clear some smaller debts tomorrow when I get paid so having a good day today, but like others have said, these are your debts you're trying to work through. Ultimately the choice is yours
