payless - agreed! :D Which is why I'd advocate a combination of search methods, to ensure you get the best possible deal.

No - my 'Let to Buy' mortgage is on the property I live in - the reason being I was stuck in a mortgage trap with the Abbey that would have cost nearly £3K to get out of and Abbey wouldn't lend me enough to buy my new house. Went to Northern Rock who had no issue as long as Abbey agreed to me letting.

Now the Abbey 'trap' is nearly over and I want to remortgage the property I'm renting out just not sure who to approach and what tyape of mortgage to ask for.

All advice welcome - but not involving Abbey and their silly penalty clauses!

    Not a problem.

I have not seen you miss a point yet anyway?

I tried to send this in a Thanks post, but it doesn't seem to need text, so unbeleivably, it looks like I have been the first to thank you. Injustice there I think? I'm sure there will be many more coming to you in future.

I must learn how to work this new system!
