NDR/Littlewoods & mum in hospital

Hi all, first time here.
My mom has recently gone into hospital and will be there for quite a period of time. Like many others she has debt owed to Littlewoods. NDR are on our backs to repay the money although this isn't possible at the moment due to herself being in hospital and only recieving DLA & Housing Benefit to cover rent etc.
I believe she tried to set up a payment plan of around ~£80/month. I was wondering if it was possible to send a CCA to Littlewoods to help her with her money, obviously it's quite difficult with her being in hospital to manage her bills but I'm trying to tidy them up a little for her.
Also, with sending the initial CCA request letter to Littlewoods, how do you enclose the £1 payment? I'm only 19 so don't know much about how catalogues etc work.
Thanks in advance! (:

OK. So first of all you know NDR are just Littlewoods using another name to try and put the willies up you?
So you don't treat them any different, whatever silly threats they may make.
Can she afford the £80 per month or is that leaving her short?
Have you given them a letter from her giving you authority to deal with this on her behalf?
When did she first that the account out? Before April 2007?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

She can't really afford the £80/month, I think she's asked if it's possible to make a lower re-payment but they have refused & said £80 is the minimum. At the moment, the latest letter says she is £1,420.72 in arrears.
I rang them earlier they are sending out a letter which my mother & myself? can sign so that I have authority on the account. And, not 100% sure about the date it was opened, will have to ask them when I phone next but I believe it was around April 2007.0 -
You pay them what you can afford. Not what they say they will accept. If they don't like it, then tough.
May be worth asking for the CCA if it might pre-date 2007. Might shut them up and strain their tiny braincells for a while anyway.
Have a read of the sticky on OFT guidelines.

As Fermi says, pay them whatever your mum can afford.
Do CCA them if pre 2007. How old is the account?
If they have no CCA, you can negotiate easier with them, as they know they can't take court action for a CCJ if pre April 2007 and no CCA.
They will try and fob you off with a current one if they don't have it. Just post if you do this and are not sure about the reply.
Only deal with these idiots in writing, send signed for for the important stuff if you can afford it.:beer:0
