somethings gone wrong with my quidco account!!!

OK, bit of a dilema with quidco...

I ordered some DVDs through HMV using quidco expecting 10% cashback (order was £38 minus £5 - online voucher). However nothing showed up for a few days on my quidco account, so I registered a enquiry with quidco.

Checking my account today - my enquiry is still waiting to be processed but now 6 new orders with HMV though quidco are registering on my account - total cashback of £30.

These are not my orders!
I know quidco has a misuse policy where your account can get cancelled so a bit of me is thinking that i should inform them about this error. But then i think perhaps I should just leave it - its not like I've actually done anything - it must be some kind of computer error.

Advice would be appreciated!
thanks

Did you clear your cookies when you ordered to, sometimes this slips the net. Id just wait for quidco to send you a reply.
    Kind Regards

  • personally would just leave it be. sometimes it seems Quidoc has a mind of it's own...transactions don't tracvk, then they get duplicated..it has happened to my friends too, but the dupe transactions don't get paid out on, or even validated.

They look at it as poetic justice..as some valid transactions don't track, and you miss out, why should they complain when other's do, and they stand to gain?

Life is too short, just don't worry about it

I would wait a week or so. Normally quidco sorts itself out and the additional transactions will get declined
  • A similar thing happened to me when I got half way through ordering a magazine subscription via Quidco then changed my mind and didn't complete the transaction. I was surprised when it tracked anyway, with a couple of pounds cashback. I was even more surprised the next day when another transaction with £15 cashback appeared! I have no idea where this one could have come from. I didn't expect them to validate but they did and Quidco paid out last month.

I did consider telling them but in the end I decided to just wait and see what happened :D

I was just wondering if clicking on sites like kelkoo & High Street Web daily would lead to Quidco account closure due to abuse of programme. What is clasified as "abuse" is this case below? Minimising click to just one per day - would it still lead to termination?

"Abuse of this programme will not be tolerated. Please remember that according to the Quidco T&Cs, accounts can be terminated without notice if there are patterns of merchant exploitation."

Any advice on this is much appreciated.

    many thanks
