Not paying me the right rate as stated on contract!

In October of last year I had a pay increase due to gaining more skills and training. An increase from £6.15 to £6.85 per hour. I signed a new contract to that effect. To date they have not paid me my increase. I have raised the matter with both my manager and her assistant each month but Im not getting any where. They arent able to give me an explanation. Other people have raised company grievences for other issues but have not received any response. What else can I try do you think?

  • Have you spoken to the payroll dept?

In many companies, paperwork has to be submitted by the line manager to make changes to pay - if this is the case and payroll don't have it, you know who's at fault!

If they do have it, ask when it will be payable (which will incl back-payment)
