Please can someone give me some advise please!
We took out a welcome loan about 10 years ago, to pay over 10 years. Missed 4 payments which were staggered over a 18 month period. At the time we were paying £387 per month.
Last year got mis sold PPI back, £4K of which some went to payment protection partnership. They then lowered our payments to £306 each month. Loan was due to finish in october last year. Oh you have guessed we received a statement saying we still owed £12K!!!
Please please tell me what do I do. I cant be associated with these people anymore, they give me serious sleepless nights.
Any help or advice please!

I tried Googling and ended up here

Surely to goodness you didn't go for something like that?
Out of interest, how much of your £4k did they take?
Your missed payments would have completely humped you over. the best thing to do is to make an SAR (Subject Access Request) to WF. They will provide a full breakdown of every payment you made along with all the charges they threw on top.0 -
Thanks so much, I will request that.
PPP are a glagow based company, they were great. They take about 25% but they did all the work. We were a little miffed but at least we got somethng from those scum bags!!0 -
25% for something you could do for free....aint that goodDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I am in exactly the same position as you, I was in a bit of bother as my partner had built up rent arrears. I stupidly took a loan from welcome for 4k. My payments were 210 for 48 months and I also won a ppi claim so my payments were reduced to 168 pm. My loan was due to finish dec 11 and I cancelled my direct debit. They r saying I still owe 857, I'm adamant I don't and ive logged a formal complaint. Theyve been phoning me every day and try and bully me into making payments but until they can confirm where this balance has arisen from they can whistle. I'm not backing down, I've paid these loan sharks more than enough. I have told them if they don't stop harassing me I will report them to trading standards as at the moment the debt is in dispute and I don't need to pay a penny until my complaint is resolved. Fingers crossed it has worked as I ain't heard from them for almost a week. Let me know how u get on, they r total scum0
