Cheapest bulk buy cream eggs or similar - ideas of where to purchase?

We give the veterinary staff a cream egg (or similarly sized egg) each for easter - historically we've purchased them from Makro etc but sometimes special offers crop up that reduce the overall price considerably (last year blockbuster had a great deal and we cleared the local stores out of the cadbury caramel bunnies!).

Does anyone know of any deals, we'll need 400 - 500 eggs so want to keep the cost low!!!

Thanks x

  • I was thinking the same that must be one massive clinic! :o

  • Yeah, why that many?

Not sure though try ASDA, they had 1L boxes in-store for £1.50 a few weeks ago. Somehow I doubt they'll be selling these at that price now though still worth a shot, if you can get 400 - 500 that is.

Most other places, Morrisons, Sainsburys, appear to sell these half price otherwise though these are £1.50 for 4. Tesco were selling 4 for £1 though can't currently check online at the moment. Keep getting a The website cannot display the page message
  • Just checked mySupermarket, the offer in Tesco's is 3 x Cadbury's Creme Eggs for £1. Check the other supermarkets mentioned on there as well, not much else on offer really though you could check for yourself.

£1.50 for 6 is the cheapest I have seen them in the Co-op. They were 1.35 for 6 in Tesco but that was a few weeks ago.

try pounland or the 99p stores - as they normally do set of 3/4 (not been in a while so not too sure), and ask to speak to the manager - ask him/her if they would give you discount for buying even half of what you need, and then ask in another store?

We needed drinks for a do, asked our local 99p store who gave us 10 x 2l coke bottles for 70p each! (this was before we discovered costco, but still worth a try?)

If its a reqular thing why not talk to cadbury's directly? sure they could sort out a reasonable deal.
  • Cadburys Creme Egg Six Packs are £1.52 at Sainsbury's apparently. Someone on HotUKDeals posted this offer a few days ago, I thought it said 4 last time I looked though appears to be six.
  • In costco about £14 for a box of 48.
