Does anybody know of any reliable agencies for getting someone to come do some house keeping duties. I mean has anyone actually used an agency for this and could recommend them or would I be better advertising? I am in the Magherafelt/Cookstown area.

I tried one, alas can't remember the name but TBH could have done better myself...wouldn't have recommended in any case.0

Would avoid agencys if you can. My granny is a house cleaner, working for herself for nearly 20 years now (I even pay for her to come clean my house every so often) What a sole trader offers in comparison to an agency is shocking. Agencies will charge extra for cleaning your oven (around £20) others won't allow their staff to use step ladders etc for health and safety and so I feel you only get a half decent job done.
I know trust can be a huge issue, allowing someone into your home and I had the same issue which is why I hired my granny to do my house however I would suggest until you build up a trust and a good working relationship with your cleaner to perhaps stay in the house whilst they are there. Any good professional will understand your concern.
If theres anything else i can help with and havent mentioned already feel free to even send me a pm

many years ago i was a house keeper and took great pride in my work, often i would do extra little jobs around the house, but now i am disabled and needed help with some light housework i used a local firm their work was appalling but i hoped it would get better, then they broke some ornaments and denied doing it,i told them not to come back.sadly people want the money but not the work.I have yet to find good honest staff to come clean for me (only jobs i cannot do) stairway and low things like show base.I even resorted to advertising on my front gate as many mums pass our house going to and from school, such a shame i cannot find anyone for a few hours a week, guess its not enough hours to attract anyone.0

I'm just bumping this to see if anyone happens to have used a cleaning company in Belfast lately. Though I suspect a moneysaving website probably isn't the place to ask

I have girls(2 sisters) that come to our house once a month for a top to bottom clean. They are with me this week, if you are interested leave your number on my pm and I will leave it for them to contact you. As it is just them I would prefer not to give out their number as i think its a personal mobile that I have.“A house is made of walls and beams;a home is built with love and dreams.”2012 Challenge to buy most gifts and non essentials from money made online.:money:0
