DMP & default but claimed back late payment charges!

I'm sure most on here are a bit more savvy than me, however have been on a DMP for approaching 3 years which will end this year.
Checked my credit record and realised it shows clearly month by month when I had gotten into trouble with my credit card with late payments and ultimately default.
So I took that info, used the letter template from this website and I got credited £240 onto my account which speeds up repayment slightly!
Just shows, don't get what you don't ask for!
