hi i have just had a call from debt collector on behalf of ebay chasing me for fees from months ago (apparently they have been writing to our old address so i have never been aware)
i have told them we are now BR and gave OR number they have said it doesnt matter as its a debt from income generated then they can still persue this
am really upset and i worry what to do, if i pay them (again not sure we even have the money to do this) then its favoring a creditor but if they say not included in BR then what do i do as this will add up and then be loads in years to come
any one had any experience with this?
the debt is for £36.00
thanks x

I would suggest they don't know what they are talking about. Even tax owed is included in BR and that's a debt from income generated!
I would pass their details on to your OR and leave them to deal with it, just hang up if they call again. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Bo!!ocks I think is the technical term for that. A debt is a debt full stop and either they are very dim or just trying it on. Worry not, just tell them to contact the OR and if they bother you again you will complain to the police about criminal harassment.0 -
