I'm new to wanting become debt free and and wanted see if made sure got my debt right and didnt have anymore,
so i joined equifax, i entered all my addresses since i was 16,
all seems fair enough however i'm paying off a 657 hsbc credit card thats not listed on there?
4 of my accounts are 'defaulted' 2 of which went to debt agency and i payed off straight away - which doesnt show (this was around 4 months ago)
also i remember getting a £600 gas bill when was living in my first home when i was around 21 (5 years ago) at time i didnt pay as it was my first home and i got the bill after living there 3 months at time i was with total different company so refused to pay and disputed it but never heard anything more after a few months does that mean they realised wasnt my bill as deep down i always thought that b on my credit file as bad?
sorry asking loads questions today.

Hi, first of all you'd be better off checking the 3 credit agencies as some have different ones listed.
Try experian (they have a 30 day free trial), also noodle credit, this one is free.Faced up to my debt Jan 2012.0 -
is noodle okay as i just read someone thought they was a scam?
esperian i had my free trial apparently but cant remember when think i signed up cancelled and forgot about it.
I'll have a look at others thankyou for your advice0 -
5 years ago it was unusualy for utility companies to report to the credit reference agencies - which could explain the lack of the gas debt.
The HSBC card could be on one of your other credit files, or it could be that you originally dfaulted more than 6years ago and so its already dropped off your file.

When you say do you mean they accounts still show an outstanding balance and are not marked as satisfied? If so they should show after 4months - you might need to write to the debt collectors and state that you require them to update your credit file to show that the debt is settled.
they show has 'default' i will do that as they still in red but with the privious company not the debt agency?
i got the letter from hsbc stating i owe 656 but nothing in my credit - looked at 2 now.0 -
on noodle is there a way add another address? its only let me add 3, i know that sounds alot but i had 5 addresses within 4 years as mum moved around alot?0

If the HSBC is the same thing you put on the other thread then it looks very likely it is statute barred if it has dropped off your credit record.0

my hsbc is one of the ones im paying off, but its not of any of my credit scoring strangly! i got a letter through so i rang them straight away and started paying, i never thought about it til then i actually forgot! i was with hsbc for 5 years after having credit card always updated address with them and never eard anything about my credit card repayments.
Im just going trying sort moorcroft out, i'm even thinking about cutting back expences in other places try and pay full amount they want per month but that be literally living on nothing per calender month, i know in princible its okay saying that as i'll ahve food in cuboards, but in reality if a school trip came up, or something broke in house etc i wouldnt have the funds to do anything.0
