SAR request ignored but cashed cheque?

Options
I sent a SAR request to Littlewoods in January, as I have about £72 in unfair charges on my account.

They received the request on January 16th, and they cashed the £10 cheque I sent with the request.

They have until 25th February to send me the info - however I've not heard anything yet.

What happens if I don't receive the SAR information by the 25th Feb?

Initially you send a follow up letter reminding them that they need to comply with your request.
If you still don't hear anything after that then you complain to the ICO

I waited 4+ months for a reponse to my SAR from Very (part of the Littlewoods group) but heard nothing.

I wrote explaining that they were non-compliant with the terms of the Freedom of Information Act and that they have left me no choice but to pursue my PPI claim without it. I also requested a refund of the payment (+ interest) as they had chosen not to fulfil their legal obligations.

Heard back within 4 days with all the info but no refund (not surprisingly!) or apology.

Very must be oh-so-proud of their customer "non-service" department. This is the 2nd time I have had cause for complaint and they are simply non-co-operative and darn-right obstructive.

If you deal with them, get EVERYTHING IN WRITING as you will see they only possess short-term memory when referring to past communication.

  • 40 days are up on Saturday. So on Monday I'll be sending them a letter via Recorded delivery.
This debt will be paid off in May, so want my £72 back ASAP so then I can pay it off a month earlier!
