Cabot Financial

Morning All,
I have recently used the standard template letters to try and obtain signed agreements from third parties on debt, also, sent the follow up letters and thought that would be the end of it as I have not heard anything for possibly six weeks.
Now had a letter from the above company stating that I still owe them the debt and need to make arrangements to pay until they have an opportunity to acquire the original agreement, is this just bully-boy tactics or can they still enforce the debt at some stage further down the road, i'm retired living on a pension and cannot go bankrupt as I live in the Channel Isles, which means I pay til I die?
Finally, when that does happen can they pester my wife as all the debt is in MY name only.
Thanx, any help gratefully received:)
