Wed 22nd February - What small DFW things will you be doing today!?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free. :money:
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D
Goood morning:j
I posted the intro tho our thread quickly and am adding on my list so hope I've been quick enough to avoid a double thread:rotfl:
Today is my later start at work...so can get ready once girls are at school. Just sitting in my dressing gown now with no make up on....attractive;);)
Updated my energy app and it reckons I've used £11 worth of gas in 8 days and £14 electric...seems ok, especially as we were at home for half term last week. Hopefully from no it'll just get less each week:D
Right - time for my list:

- All meals from stores - still haven't done a major shop :j
- Update diary

Morning everyone.
Thanks for the thread Pixie.
Best of luck with the smoking Determined. I found distraction worked well, I went throuugh loads of chewing gum!
I've been missing for a few days, started new job properly on Monday and after two days am having doubts. I'm exhausted, the shifts are completly different to what I was told at interview and there are lots of annoying things cropping up. Main problem for me is gonna be the money, I knew I was gonna be taking a wage drop but they take bits of money off you here and there and I'll be earning less minimum wage for 40hours work. A lot of the other staff are unhappy too. I'll see what happens in the next couple of months.
Sorry, peeps, moan over. Two days off so gonna try and be productive.
Todays list:
Have done a load of washing, its on airer in front of radiators (yes, I know heating is still on but i'm freezing as i'm so tired).
Will walk to local shops, get some bits from butchers and fruit and veg from greengrocers, cheaper and better quality than Sainsbugs!
Try and finish the painting in the spare bedroom (just woodwork left) then I can unpack a few more boxes of stuff to go in there.
Go to Ikea for a some cheap furniture for bedroom.
Get some sweet peas and tomato seeds planted.
Surveys etc.
Have an afternoon nap.
Have 3 pairs of work trousers to hem up and a pair of my brothers trousers to mend. Might even dig out my last embroidery project and try and get back into it.
Have a great day everyone.0 -
