Mobile Matrix help?

Hi. There were quite a lot of mobile phone matrix schemes at one point - where you paid £20 and worked your way up the list until you got a free mobile phone. I feel quite stupid now but I signed up for it, twice I believe. This was at least 2 years ago, so I gave up on it in the end.
I've just been clearing out my room, and found the cd that came when I paid the £20. And realized I still ain't got a free phone. Tried looking up https://www.themobilematrix.com and found nothing! What a scam!
Anyone else stung by this? Anything I can do to get back my money?
I am older and wiser now and would never fall into a trap like that again
