When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free. :money:

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D

Morning everyone - hope you're all feeling better and those who didn't sleep well on Sunday night had a better night last night:)

Not a particularly cheery household here - girls and I argues last night, lazy little devils - I can't be btohered to talk to them. Teenagers:mad:

I slept in a bit too, so really need to get a move on. Will walk to work though so I can leave later.
Ok, list:
  • check banking
  • check onepoll
  • no driving today
  • packed lunch for dd2 and I to school
  • NSD - don't need anything
  • meal from plan tonight - spag bol
  • take mince out of freezer
  • do meter readings and update app
  • heating off until 3 then on low
  • keep calm when teenage daughters are driving me mad;)
Ok, that's my lot - have a great Tuesday:A
I really need to sort out a new signature!

  • Heres my post from the abortive thread:

Hope you're feeling better today, SC.
Look at you, super moneysaving DNMS
Did you get your project finished, Bitby?
Sorry to hear about your accident, nat, hope you have a better day today!

Made a fancy dinner in for boy last night. As some of you know this relationship is going up down and sideways, but the last few days have been better so it was nice to have some quality time. Wasn't particularly cheap but certainly more than a night out, and there are leftovers which should last us most of the week.

Feeling very stressed with work these days, hopefully will let up a bit next week.

    Anyway, today:

    - motorbike everywhere I need to go
    - work like a maddwoman during the rare hours today that I dont have meetings
    - respond to follow up question from yesterday's phone interview
    - leftovers for tea
    - lunch provided by work
    - vegetate in eve with my crochet, my coworker is getting bigger by the day and the baby blanket isnt!
    - update budget (not bothering to check banking, know its empty until payday! )

    Happy Tuesday, everyone.

Thanks for your thoughts, DNMS. It may well be relationship growing pains, but its also a lot of baggage being thrown about. Still really, really fancy him though so I hope we can pull through
