    Hi everyone,
I was trying to research about this vastel solutions company and came across this thread. I'm really having doubts about this company. I applied for a job in February and they contacted me in May asking me to come for an interview. I was told they had loads of applications, which is why there was a delay.
Anyway, I went for the interview 3 weeks ago and they have only just got back to me now, asking me to come for a second interview. About a week after my interview, I tried to telephone the recruitment dept - no answer. Just kept going on answer machine. They either don't value prospective employees or they are recruiting a lot of people. The guy who interviewed me told me that loads of people leave company soon after starting when they realise they are worse off. I found this a bit odd.
I don't know if I should go for 2nd interview or not. Does anyone know if this is a good company to work for? Am I wasting my time? Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. They do have a website but something just doesn't seem right. I can't quite put my finger on what it is.

Go with your gut and instincts which is obviously telling you its not right. This is how people get scammed by not listening and needing income desperatley, it overrides the instincts unfortunatley.

I know you may need an income but there will be another way than this. The man basically told you it was a carp job, you can't get hold of them and the website is full of spelling mistakes....lacks professionalism...is that who you want to work for? :)

    Good luck.

Thanks for the advice guys. I spoke to someone at JobCentre and she was very suspicious about this job aswell. She advised me to be careful. Basically, if I take the job and then want to leave because they are not paying me right or whatever, Job Centre would then have to clarify with the company. If they claim they are paying minimum wage then it would be my word against theirs. I may not be allowed to claim Jobseekers Allowance or would be sanctioned for leaving the job.
I really want a job but as you rightly pointed out clairibel, I can't risk making my situation worse. I probably won't go to 2nd interview which is this Friday, unless I hear or find out something positive about this company.
I'm getting really disillusioned now because I have been looking for job now for a year and had no luck. Please everybody wish me luck so I can find a good job soon.
  • Pkhn, I can see why you were hoping that this would lead to something. I certainly do hope that you get a legitimate job soon.
