Ok just applied for a job online from an agency called The Change Group & just got the auto email from them.

Just by reading this it's obvious they are over run with applications and have probably thought about this and I have never seen a auto response like this

I thought it pretty good of them (regardless if I get a call or not)

It says:

Thank you for taking time to apply to our advertisement. As part of our Candidate Charter every single application received is viewed and assessed for suitability. Unfortunately not all candidates can be successful, so if you do not receive a further response don’t take it personally, we receive on average over 100 applications for each position we advertise so we can only shortlist a handful of CV’s. The reasons you might not make the short list could be down to a number of things ranging from the time you applied after the advert was posted (some of our clients need CV’s very quickly) or how much experience you have for that position. So if you are not successful this time, don’t let it get you down, keep your chin up and keep on applying for jobs at www.thechangegroup.com!!!
Once we have viewed your application one of two things will happen from here on in:
1). Your CV looks perfect for the position or another one we may be recruiting for. One of the Change crew will give you a call for a chat about your experience and exactly what you are looking for. We will then organise a time to meet with you and to go through all the nuts and bolts about the job and help you to secure an interview.
2). We hate to say no (and when we do its not forever) but we perhaps don’t think your experience or qualifications are quite what we are looking for this time, either that or we don’t have a position that we think would be relevant to you at this stage so instead of contacting you straight away we’ll keep your details on our database.
If you fall into the latter category please don’t take offence it is nothing personal, it’s just a case of not wanting to waste your time. Here are few suggestions from the Change team to help you find work:
Hopefully a Change Consultant will speak to you soon but either way, good luck and hopefully this may have helped…….
Kind Regards

no worries, if they help. I thought it was a good reply and hey no one believes me when I say agencies get 100+ CV's for each job and only read half a dozen if that.

Enough to look on Reed where next to each vacancy there is a number of applications already made...

This is quite good too - list of agencies by sector/location etc:
