  • Well it is clear that they want you to help them by sharing the cost.

Why not take advantage of the offer and pay what you feel it is worth, you don't need to sign anything to make a deal with them directly?

I would never agree to this long term, who knows you may not even like the place that they are using or the options available.

I can see why they have asked, and it's always nice to help family out, but you need to fully understand your gain and explain that you do not want to be tied as they clearly are.

If you wanted one, you would buy your own right?

Hi There I used to work in time-share for my sins :(

Is it an owned week or is it points based ? Makes a lot of difference but to be honest either way I would say thank you but no thanks. The maintenance will rise every year no matter what the companies say.And the contacts are so hard to get out of.

Good luck with what ever you decide

Debt free and Mortgage free thank you to all for your encouragement and advice

. im not sure if its been done in good faith or to help them out of a sticky situation .. she hasnt given us the paper work and keeps saying we need to make a decision.. i suppose we hoped it was a good deal ..

Hmm. So they're putting you under pressure to agree to an indefinite financial commitment for something you may not want, and which will definitely be difficult to get out of. And they have money problems.

I think you already know if it's in good faith or to help them out of a sticky situation. I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

I'd run a mile sounds to me like you are being used to help them pay their commitment to the timeshare.
