    Very little in practice but players that play -R's only wont play + R's and vice versa.

    Personal preference for some.

    Otherwise go for price if you have the choice.

    My Liteon 5006 takes both formats but +r seem better to me, although it could be the dye on the disks, I use verbatium when I do use it for recording programs.
  • A UK review can be found here for the actual model on sale (5005B).

    Connectivity seems to be the downside. No RGB/SVideo Scart input and no SVideo input on UK version, leaving you with just composite input which is lower quality.

    I have a DVD recorder but haven't found a use for is since I got Sky+. Only thing I find it useful for is that is plays PC formatted DVDs with DivX files on them.
    You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.
