New terms also exclude meal deals
I'm not sure how you come to this conclusion. The relevant section has remained the same:
1. Price comparisons for purchases are based on what the customer actually buys on the date of purchase. This includes price reductions and promotions (such as "half price" and "buy one get one free") but not store or category wide promotions such as “buy 6 bottles of wine and get 5% off” or linksave promotions (such as "buy cheese and get crackers free"). These are excluded as it is difficult to make fair comparisons. Products that are purchased on a "reduced to clear" basis will be compared on the price paid at till.

No it doesn't in the sense you mean. It's good for us because it means Tesco find it hard to compare so they will place a pizza at £3.99 and B&J at £4.99 (for instance in the last deal) and compare against ASDA's prices as opposed to saying well it was a £5 meal deal at Tesco so Pizza = £2.500 Ice cream = £2.50" etc.
It's a good thing! AS is the wine oneI am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

RIP Pricecheck.
Havent felt this bad since 28th April last year.
Doesn't mean much. It means all vouchers will now scan (not sure about exact capped £10 ones) as they can have the price in the barcode. It is an attempt to minimise the impact so that people don't do it.
I'm unsure as to how they are tying it to a clubcard but if they are, you all know what to do.
£10 vouchers are still worth £10, ultimately. If you follow the T&C exactly then it's not worth it, as you could only do 10 a month - but who does that heh?:DI am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

If you have receipts still to print dont waste your time resubmitting them for new links
I found just changing the word "check" to "promise" on the original link takes you to your original voucher. Just be sure to change both nstances as below:
https://www.tescopricecheck.com/PriceCheck/Pages/
https://www.tescopricepromise.com/PricePromise/Pages/
They seem to have fixed this now as the first link is taking you to price promise as well, even when overtyping it
Looks like I can't put through my fizz, oj & sweeteners from tonight as that's all I bought.0 -
Was it just me or does anyone else think the recent "glitches" with the system were either
a) an attempt to flush those out who were putting vouchers through more than once by getting them to contact customer services?
b) some work on the system to set this new price promise up?
or
c) both?0 -
it really doesn't surprise me that they have changed it because reading on here (and other threads), some people were absolutely hammering it.
Like other things (R&R, last year's DTD price check, coupon use) a minority will have spoilt it for the majority. I'm sure it won't be long before the blue boards in store with the DTD promise on come down and that also will be stopped because people are abusing that heavily as well. It's only a matter of time.
I'm sure I'll get flamed for saying this but I'm only saying what I think and if people don't like it, well the truth always hurts.0 -

T3sco were sure to pick up the chat on here and decide on their course of action, its taken a year and I'm not certain they have bottomed it yet, only time will tell.0 -
So now it's the same as ASDA except that ASDA gives you JTD calculated against just 90% of the competitors' price of comparable items not only at Tesco, but also Sainsbury's, Waitrose & Morrisons
So buy £50 worth of comparable items in ASDA that cost THE SAME £50 (and compare) in Tesco, Sainsburys, Waitrose or Morrisons (there would be NO JTD from Tesco in this instance) and ASDA STILL GIVES YOU £5 back.
Better still IF the price at ANY of the others, Tesco, Sainsburys, Waitrose or Morrisons, is JUST £45, then ASDA will give you £9.50 back
Thanks that's helpful. I've got an asda just a mile further than tesco, may move my custom!!!
You would think tesco would put these changes on a landing page to make them clear, like they did with DTD in April last year... Very underhand, hope the press picks up on it.I love this site and all chums, but its making a dent in my bank account!!!
Have lots of things I want, but dont necessarily need... Must DO BETTER!!! :A0
