I have debts around £16000.Last year i set-up an IVA which was due to commence in August[2011].Unfortunately,i did not have the money to start this so the IVA failed.
Obviously, creditors picked-up on this and i have started to receive letters and calls from them.
I have 2 ccjs and i have about 20 creditors in total.
I am not aware of any bankruptcy proceedings against me as yet.
Currently,i have been on sick-leave for three months and all i am receiving at the moment is SSP,plus some housing benefit and council tax benefit.
I need to do something as the pressure is increasing.
I have thought of writing to each creditor offering little or no payment?
I rent my property.I am in arrears at present with the rent although an arrangement is in place.
Any suggestions please.
Thanking you in advance.

Token payments would seem the logical way to go, but really depends whether you ever anticipate managing to pay these off?

Thank you for your help.I am looking at the options.
Do you think i should treat the ccj payments any differently?

I think this is best place in the IVA forum for you to get the best advice. I'm not sure how you go about moving it though. Moderator?0
