  • these things are very bad for your eyelashes as they damage them and can make some lashes fall out.

Nothing wrong with eyelash curlers as long as you curl them BEFORE putting on mascara. Its only when the mascara sticks to the curler that they are plucked out one by one! :D Heat the end with your hairdryer for a few seconds before curling for a longer lasting curl ;)

And yes, a quid in Poundland and Primarni!

I was maid of honour at my best friends wedding a couple of years ago and used a different pair of eyelash curlers as couldn't find my usual ones...think they were a freebie pair at boots with something at one point and they cut about 12 of the eyelashes in the middle of my eye off.....only made worse when put mascara on!!! was devastating at time but hilarious in hindsight!!!

  • Crikey, these tales are enough to put anyone off! I've used eyelash curlers for years and couldn't live without them -and yes definitely put mascara on AFTER!

horrible item of torture (it's be kind to eyelashes week :rotfl:)
  • Cant beat the no7 ones which are £2 when used with the £5 off voucher and yes always apply mascara afterwards but handy tip always apply a layer of waterproof mascara first because it is oil based it will hold the curl much better then use your usual mascara afterwards. Keeps your lashes curly all day long!
  • My daughter also cut off all the lashes on one eye a couple of years ago using them!

She was devastated as she has very long thick lashes and the missing ones were soooooo evident! :o

I went on a rescue mission to buy a set of falses from supermarket as she was due on a big night out...;)

Bless her - She still uses em but treats em with a bit more respect nowadays! :rotfl:
