Cancel Level Term Assurance?

Hi,
I am going to pay off my mortgage in a couple of weeks...:j...this may be a daft question, but I assume it would also be wise to cancel the level term assurance as well.

Depends if you could still do with a payout should you (partner) die? If you took it out years ago it may be a lot cheaper than taking out new life assurance policies now?0
