£90 off plant collection

Hello, I haven't posted on here before, but found such a good deal I wanted to share it! Van Meuwen sent me a newsletter this weekend for a bumper collection of perennial plants for just £9.99 - apparently worth £100, not sure of the varieties but there will be 18 different ones, I've got some completely empty borders in my garden so this is just perfect. There is £3.95 to pay postage, but even so, still seems great value! As I'm new I can't put a link in, but if you put bumper plant pack into the search box on their website, the collection comes up:j

I assume these will be sent as mini plugs and therefore not for the faint hearted as they will need to be grown on? Is is a sort of lucky dip selection?

Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!
  • I bought this last year and it was mini plugs, bulbs and roots. I may have been unlucky or perhaps to eager to plant and very little came up and my expected perennial border did not materialise, I might have have 5 - 6 plants out of it. perhaps I should have potted up and cossetted them in the greenhouse. I remember feeling a bit disappinted at how tiny the plants were.
  • I used to use VM and T&M all the time, thinking they were cheap, but I just can't be bothered anymore with the time and effort required for the tiny plants. I found out my local garden centre occasionally does deals on established 2/3 year old perennials which is far better value.
  • Hi, think last year's deal was bedding plants, this is perennials so might be different, I might give them a call to check though!
