Grrr twice in a month! - UPDATE

:mad::mad::mad::mad:Second time this month that postie has given me the grey slip saying that not enough postage has been paid on a parcel - I know we enter these competitions to win nice things & I LOVE Winning, but these extra bit of unbudgeted money at the moment are not welcome.
I know its only £2.72 this time, but that's £2.72 less food, with my kids & having an Asda close by, that I get lots of whoopsies from, thats a fair bit to me.
Does anyone else have this problem?
This post hasn't come out anything like what i feel but sure you get my drift, just so frustrated.:o
OK rant over sorry
Was a car charger I won from FB The Car People I put a post on their page with in five minutes they had replied & emailed. They were very apologetic & are refunding the money. I removed the post, my idea, they were quick to act so only fair in my opinion. So all good again now . But thanks for your help & idea's. I know this happens quite often to other compers so hopefully your comments also help them too.

I've had this happen to me and have always had the money refunded from the company sending, occasionally they have sent a few extras to compensate too.
Why not try contacting them?
Good luck

Cheers sparky I might just do that when I've collected.
No idea what it is, I've nothing due from eBay, so not that, must be one few outstanding wins from WhatsOnTV & Car People etc.
I'll nip & collect it on my way back from GP's as its nearby."Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?" - Lucy Maud Montgomery :hello:

I got a grey slip too today - but mine's only for £1.22 and considering a quid is the under postage fee then it was only 22p under...praying it's a competition win and not some un-needed ill fitting worn out kids clothes from some of our more 'considerate' relatives...
Went on-line to pay it as there's no extra charge from the Royal mail...and can't wait to find out what it is...
Don't know how you could possibly do that DUKE - I'd always be wondering....:):smileyhea Thank you to all that post comps - may the Comping Fairy return your time and generosity doubled!:smileyheaLaughing at our own mistakes can lengthen our own life. Laughing at someone else’s can shorten it.

I once refused to pay when I got a grey slip and went to the PO to find it was an xmas card that my "dear old aunt" had forgotten to put a stamp on. The postie said that I did not have to pay it so I left (muttering under my breath about the fuel wasted driving there). The xmas card turned up in our normal post about 2 weeks later :rotfl: still with no stamps. I guess the sorting office decided that it was easier to send it on to me than do anything else with it.0 -
I had one on last week, it was some "free" sample for a newsletter signup from forever living. I wouldn't buy the 6 little sachets for Ł1.22, but I didn't know what it was, so I paid

I got the same today, 22p under full postage plus £1 handling fee. If it's a few of us that means it's probably going to be something on the freebie board that we all applied for. I paid it anyway.0
