Solar Power Installed 6th December 2011

I had a 2.35 kWp system installed on 6th December 2011 and have so far generated 143.2 Watts. Is this normal? I am in Birmingham, West Midlands. Thanks very much.

Methinks you have your units wrong!

  • 143.2 Watts is the power generated at a particular moment in time. What we need to know is the figure for the month in kWh (kiloWatthours) or mWh (megaWatthours).

It must be 142.3 kWh then! I have 142.3 on the meter...not too sure of the units!

I don't think that's an unreasonable figure but maybe someone else nearer you could confirm.

It looks pretty good to me. I have a 4kWp system and over December and January together I generated 175 kWh. December is the worst month of the year and I am further north than you. By the end of March I will have had the system for a year and it looks like I will have generated over 3,300 Wh.
