Hi hope I posted this in the right place.
I an a single parent & wishing to go to university next year to study my Postgrad teacher training so have managed find a school I can do some voluntary work in, Problem is is it's a 40/50 minute round trip 3 times a week & I take my son to different activities so am finding my petrol costs are soaring. Have checked charities on "turn to us" & googled a lot of different options but am a bit stuck.
Any ideas anyone? Thanks on advance x

Wouldn't the shcool you plan to volunteer for meet your travel expenses?0

Unfortunately not as they are kind of doing me a favour. They don't really have the money but I am sure there is another was!!! Thankyou!!0

Sorry, lots of places pay their volunteer's out of pocket expenses (travel/lunch) - I assumed that may be the case...0

I know but I kind of edged my way in there really!! Some schools are a bit funny with volunteers but they did pay the CRB! Thanks0

Go to a family centre and get one of the workers to do a search on Funderfinder PIN for you highlighting you are a single parent who wants to return to college.
Ask your Local Voluntary action if they have a computer with this on. You will need someone like a support worker to apply for you, if you can find somewhere who may help you out.0
