Baleros and shrugs

Hi everyone, i'm new to this part of the forum! we're getting married in may this year and i am excited but also a bit worried about things i'm forgetting about! the panic has set in!

I bought my dress the other day and as i am a size 16-18 i really want a shrug to wear with it. this is what i want but i'd rather it didn't come from the US!

i have searched so much and even the shop i bought my dress from had nothing! any ideas where else to look or any other ideas? i've thought about getting one made by a local dressmaker but i have no idea how much that would cost. any help would be great thank you!

any reason you dont want to buy from the US i have had a long look but cant find it over here

These aren't much like the one you posted but I think they're gorgeous and they do some with lace.

I'll trying to justify getting one myself even though my favourite dress at the moment has sleeves!

i don't normally like boleros/shrugs but that is gorgeous.

Is it the lace or the shape which is most important to you?

ooh thank you! please keep my updated i'd love to know the sizing of it - since it comes from the US! did you order the long sleeve one or a 3/4 length sleeve one? how exciting! pics are a must when you get it please haha (also please let me know how long it takes to be delivered) thank you! It might just help me take the plunge and buy one myself!

I found this while flicking through a free mag I got today at a fair and thought of this thread!!




It's by White One from Pronovias, The dress is style 427, I guess the bolero is an extra, hopefully you could buy it separately?

Ps there was another similar one in the mag, by a smaller designer but I can't remember the name and I left the mag at my mums When I'm next there I'll post it!

It's been delivered and it's gorgeous. I have to admit if I had the time, I would have been able to make it myself as it seems to be a slip of lace lol

No internet at home and can't use usbs at work so no pic for now. I'm a UK size 12/14 and bought a large. It fits perfectly. Doesn't fold up or anything and sits flat. It doesn't get to the bust so bust size should be no problem however I am a 32G and it stops just at the edge of the bust.

Delivery took about 10 days hth xx
