stroller for child over 15kg

Options
my 4 year old son had a fall yesterday and we've taken him to hospital today to find he's broken his foot and he's in plaster, i've been today to buy a mothercare xoob stroller but it doesnt seem to take him weight very well, has anyone else had this problem and what was best, i want a very cheap stroller because it will literally be used for a few weeks. btw my son is probally only just over the 15kg mark so he's not huge. thanks

  • Not much help really but i have an "out and about" and have had some big kids in it seems to cope well, maybe the ones with blow up cycle tyre wheels will help anyone got one you could borrow ?
  • my son is heavy for his age and we use a mothercare one with air tyres..try ebay for a local collect as you can sell again when done to keep costs down
Have a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T
  • thanks for the replies, i havent thought about this for a few days as we have both picked up the norovirus from the hospital so have been very ill with it, i didnt realise that there was a belt thing that could tighten under the seat of the xoob so there is a bit more support there, it wasnt as bad pushing as i thought either so going to stick with this for the minute, i'm sure it won;t last that long but aslong as it last's as long as he;s in his cast that will be fine, he's got a new plaster now 2 that he can walk on so that will be a great help. thanks for the advice.
