I have just received my second sanction from A4e for missing appointments I wasn't aware of.
I have just discovered they have been sending my letters to the wrong address.....the appeal process is set up to be a difficult as possible, so In a nutshell, what can I do about it ?
thanks

How did they get your address wrong? Did you put it on the form incorrect or did you move house and not tell them? It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0

You will need to show that it is their error.
A start would be a dpa subject access request0 -

No, I live at number 13, sometime around Xmas they started to get sent to number 3.......I think....I honestly don't know when they started to go astray, ...I only started to notice when these sanctions reared their ugly heads.
I noticed the letters had been returned to the post office, and the correct number written on the envelope in ballpoint pen, then returned to me....days later.
I went in after receiving another letter from A4e saying I had missed another appointment, my advisor was smug and insistent that letters had been sent out, and gave me copies of letters of which 2 or 3 I hadn't received.
At the time I didn't notice the wrong number, I was confused and irate at the attitude of the staff.
"Oh yeah of course you didn't get the letters" etc. I guess they're used to all the excuses in the book.
It was only when I got home i noticed the error.
@drwho2011 What good would a dpa be for me ? To find out If they are holding the correct address ?
I have copies of the last 5 letters she gave me and 2 originals along with the post office corrected envelopes. You will need to show that it is their error.
Thanks for the advice guys.0
