Hi- Time to get sorted

Hello,

Not sure if this is the right place to post! I have just signed up to the forums as I am getting tired of the constant gnawing worry in my stomach over money. After a tough few years I have got myself in a financial position I don't want to be in any more and I want today, February 19th to mark a new beginning! I have a credit card I need to pay off (and another one that I have had to take over for my mum) and I am way into my overdraft. I also have a bank loan and my student loan. I know I have to cut down my general spending and start paying off these debts and then start saving. My OH wants us to get married and buy a house (we rent at the moment) and I know I am just not in the position to at the moment!

Here will be my little space to keep track of everything and also if anyone has any advice I am always happy to listen!

Hi there welcome to the boards you will get loads of ideas and support on here.

I have highlighted this above. Can you afford to do this? If your mum is also experiencing financial difficulties, it might be smarter to also direct her to this sight. Sorry if this is a bit harsh, but depending on the relationship with your mum, it might be better for her to learn to be financially savvy rather than to bail her out....
