I got the Cuprinol one a few weeks ago to do the new Shed with, did the two roof panels and main side of an 8' x 7' Shed as per the instructions, in theory giving it a light coating. Then noticed the wood treatment running of the edges. Had to then get a brush to get the excess off and with the amount I got off one of the roof side I managed to do the complete window Side!!!
Since sussed it out to give it a quick spray leaving loads of Gaps then spreading it round with a brush, quicker than just applying by brush but not as per the adverts.
Discussed it with a few other people, and the general consensus was they are a waste of time, more got sprayed on them than the fence. As I was doing a new shed and panel I could position myself with the wind sorry slight breeze behind me but the stuff still went everywhere.
Now I don't know how good the proper paint sprayers are that use a compressor but the manual pump Cuprinol ones are a waste of time and money IMHO.Cheers

TBH it's not really worth it, you can pick them up for £20 and by the time I find some packaging to wrap it etc and ship assuming I get a tenner for it plus P&P at approx a fiver you might as well buy new.
Plus I'll still use it quicker than a brush when used the way I have been using it.Cheers

Have to agree - used my father's for the first coat then decided to put another coat in with a brush.
Waste of money - and the 'stain' is more expensive when it's sprayable (about double IIRC)0 -
I bought an electric sprayer about two years ago to spray about 30mtrs of fencing (holds about 1 ltre of paint) which can be cleaned out and reused It cost me about £20 from Focus and I think its brill. Theres one similar though not the same capacity on eBay item No 330098169459 If you want an idea of the sort of things around... Good Luck;)Hawk: I lost my wife last week
Mazz: That must have been very difficult for you.
Hawk: Almost impossible. I had to change Cabs three times :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Ok as long as it's a close-boarded fence (or a shed) - you probably won't win too many prizes if you start killing neighbours plants or dyeing their patio with overspray.0

To be honest you can readily buy fence paint that has no affect on any plants.............. My garden is proof to that. The sprayer isn't that powerful that a neighbours patio is getting the treatment (Not unless they are paying for such);)Hawk: I lost my wife last week
