I want some St Johns wort

Please can I have some advice regarding St Johns wart ie do they come in different strengths and what is the cheapest place to get them.

I am not on any other medication and I am not depressed. I just need them to even out mood swings so I can cope better. I know I am completley stressed out at the moment, m-i-ls house sale taking 10 weeks to go through and still house clearing, troublesome daughter moving in with boyfiend/first flat, 80 plus Dad living 30 miles away, two teenage sons with exams/college stuff... etc. Much the same as most people

  • HI - not sure if these are the cheapest but I have never had a problem with them.

Great this might be ideal, half price £2.95 and free delivery. How long do they take to deliver?

I buy my vitamins from healthspan, the delivery is free for orders over £15 otherwise it's £1 which is still a bargain.

My last order came in around 3 or 4 days, bear in mind they are based in Guernsey so will probably take a little longer than if sent from mainland UK.

    Hiya,

I know you said that you were not on any meds, but I just thought I should point out on here that St John's Wort can interfere with the contraceptive pill, just in case anyone is thinking of taking it who is taking the pill.

  • It also makes you burn very easily in the sun (ok maybe not a problem if you are in the UK - but if you are going on hols........).
Best deal I got was Aldi - they have 334mg tablets (twice the strength of Tesco ones) for I think it was 1.69 for x30
they also sell good value Glucosamine.
mhoc- just a thought have you tried Bach's flower remedies? They make a rescue remedy (in Boots) two sizes the smallest which has lasted me ages is about £3 - it says to 'comfort & reassure,' just a few drops on your tongue or you can add to water. I use in situations I know I'm going to be stressed.

You can get a 1 a day dosage from Zipvit.co.uk great price there too.

Best to take them in the morning, bear in mind they take a couple of months to get into your system and start working.
I always wanted to be a procrastinator, never got round to it...
