Salary Negotiations

Hello, would welcome some advice and suggestions.
I am currently employed but have had an interview for a new position. According to the agency managing the process I should be getting an offer this week.
According to my dad (who used to be a recruitment consultant) i should expect about a 20% rise. However, it is complicated by the fact that i currently only work four days a week and this job is five (well actually only until 2pm on Fridays).
My question is what realistically should I be looking for in terms of a % salary increase - the company I will be moving to is a much bigger international business, as is the role. I really don't enjoy this salary negotiation bit but realise this is the best time to get an increase.
Would welcome any suggestions / comments.
Thanks

There shouldn't really be any complication around the number of days, as you will have an hourly pay (even if you have to work unpaid overtime, you still have an hourly rate of pay). I would hope for maybe a 10% per hour pay rise, and if you are working more hours obviously it will work out at a lot more than a 10% pay rise. 20% may have been reasonable when there were more jobs than people, but in my opinion maybe a bit optimistic now. Probably depends on the role though.0

I think 20% will be bang on bearing mind the OP is going from 4 days work to 5 (Well 4.7 give or take)!0
