Advise please ... Agency work and attending a interview for a permanent position

Hi I wonder if someone could give us some advise please.....
My Husband starts work on Monday through a recruitment agency on a Temp contract but today he has received a letter inviting him to a Interview on Weds morning for a permanent position at another company .... What should he do ?? he doesnt want to turn the Agency job down but doesn't want to jepordise it by saying he has the interview on Weds either....
Are you entitled to attend interviews for permanent work whist working for a Agency ??
Any feedback would be appreciated Thanks :-)
I hate the name child support and can't say it without a nasty feeling in my tummy. ...
Dont shoot me down I am as PWC and a NRPP so I am at both ends of the stick and the CSA stinks !

You can go to whatever interview you like but on your own time unless you tell the agency now or before he starts on Monday that he needs Wednesday or some time off on Wednesday. Make up an excuse say you have a doctors appointment or something but he will be working for the agency, not the company where he will be working.

How long is the temp contract?
  • Thanks he is going to mention it on Monday when he starts and agree to work before and make up the time after so hopefully they will understand.... its temp for 3 or 4 weeks and then maybe a few weeks off and back on again, he doesnt want to turn it down as we need the money coming in, but obviously he doesnt want to miss the interview for a Permanent job that is doing the job he is trained for whilst the Agency job is warehouse work,
