I'd agree with the two posters above. £300 is not a catastrophic amount of money in the scheme of things - though I think you need to look at how things have got so out of control that Wonga seemed like a good idea! If you have any credit rating at all, try a card perhaps, or even borrowing from family and paying back over two or three months. Otherwise, you're risking a situation where you wreck your credit score and default without actually addressing the problems that got you into this.Grocery challenge September 2022: £230.04/£200

My son has just taken money out with Wonga:mad::mad::mad: but luckily for him we found out and managed to pay it off. It cost him £50 in TWO weeks for the interest, other related costs and default charges, and his initial amounts he borrowed only added up to £98. If you can get cheaper credit elsewhere (maybe a relative/friend) just get rid, then never use them again.
I also asked them to not lend him anymore money (with my son's authorisation) and he now cannot borrow money from them ever again - alleluia, thank heavens for that. :T:T:T
Still don't know how the government let them get away with it - no more than legalised theft as far as I am concerned:eek:. Especially when there are such strict rules within the banking sector.
ps sorry not much help, but hope that you are able to get things sorted. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:
