Has anyone ever had any dealings with a claims management firm called Bank Smart??
I asked them to look at my Halifax credit card taken out in 2006 to see if it is unenforceable as I have noticed a lot of errors in my credit agreement but needed professional advise of course.
They have had my claim since November, and seem to take forever and a day to deal with it.
They don't return emails, and there is no telephone contact with them as they do everything over the internet.
They also don't acknowledge when you send them paperwork.
I am getting fed up with them and have just sent them a !!!!!! email asking what is happening with my claim.

Not heard of them, I expect they are pretty much the same as other claims management firms - not worth touching with a bargepole.
At a guess they are doing nothing at all with your claim at the moment. Did you pay an upfront fee? if so thats the only bit they are interested in.

If you want to investigate if your credit agreements are legally enforceable, that is that they contain all the prescribed terms then its easy to do yourself, no need for professional advise. No I didn't pay any upfront fees and I wont do either as I was conned before by Cartel.

Can anyone please give me a telephone number for the claims management firm Bank Smart!?
I need to fone them to make a complaint about my claim as I have heard nothing from them.
It is unacceptable that they do everything over the internet; I need to speak to them to find out what is happening with my claim as I might have to contact the Financial Ombudsman Service.
They don't respond when you send them paperwork, and they have had my bank statements for over 2 weeks now without giving me an update if they are progressing with my claim.
If anyone can provide a fone number I would appreciate it!!0 -

I'd certainly say its a good rule of thumb not to deal with any company that doesn't provide a landline telephone number.
Did you sign any contract with them at all?
Do you really need to get hold of them? to be honest I would just cut your losses as you haven't paid them anything, write to them and state you do not want them to act for you or do any work on your behalf and then look at dealing with the issue of your credit agreement yourself.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Yes Tixy, unfortunately I did sign a contract with them, but I have so many grievances its unreal!!
I have just typed up a 2 page !!!!!! letter asking why no contact with them, and what is going on with the claim!!
I might find another company who can deal with the problem; I'm not bright at unenforceability issues!!
